Samsung versus Huawei: The easy win

If you are in a market for an Android phone you are probably going to hear about Samsung and Huawei. No doubts both brands are ruling over the smartphone world, and deciding one will be challenging.

Here is a detailed comparison with a limpid conclusion: Samsung or Huawei?

1. The Price

The first thing for the decision is your budget. Samsung’s phones are more expensive than Huawei’s.

On the other hand, the Samsung’s phones are unreasonably more expensive than they should be. Talking about Huawei’s, these are premium phones with reasonably low prices than Samsung’s.

2. The Interface and features

The UIs of Samsung had been Touchwiz, then Samsung experience, and now One UI. Huawei’s EMUI (Emotion UI) is much favored than Samsung’s UIs, including the polished, One UI. EMUI interface being refreshing, is also highly customizable (stock + custom themes, wallpapers, etc.). EMUI has aggressive memory management that can allow you more space and battery timing as well.

Besides that both brands include various unmentioned features, with the winner Huawei having much more practical uses, like my personal favorite (unsend SMS).

3. Design and durability

When it comes to design both the brands have elegant, cool, and slim designs that give them a premium look. The fingerprint placement is better at the back as seen in Huawei Smartphones.

In terms of durability, there is no promise but, Samsung phones are more durable than Huawei’s in hardware specially. Huawei’s phones are tough as well but the inner hardware often becomes a problem.

4. Display and Resolution

The display and resolution of Samsung is mostly better than Huawei’s. A clear, vivid, and amoled display of high resolution is a key feature of Samsung smartphones.

5. Camera

Camera is often considered a key-aspect of smartphones, whatever, the megapixels maybe, but quality is of more weightage.

In this case, both offer high-level cameras, but Huawei in collaboration with Leica includes high-class cameras that are more capable of catching light in dim and bright places.

For example, Huawei P9 captures 270% more light than iPhone 6s and 90% more than Samsung Galaxy S7.

6. Charging and Battery

When it comes to battery and charging capabilities, there is no other brand that could compete with charging speed and specially battery timing. However, Samsung is also good in this case, but when compared to Huawei in battery, there is a big gap.

7. GOOGLE AVAILABILITY

The Main thing that ends the comparison is Google and its Services.

Huawei does have Google and Services at the moment, but we do not know how long they might be available; consequently, without Google and Services, only a Die-hard Huawei fan may continue with Huawei.

Despite everything Huawei does have a Plan B: the Hongmeng OS (Harmony OS), and to your concern, it is rumored to be better than Android and iOS in terms of speed and maybe availability of apps.

Finally, the article (in my views) covers all topics required to be reviewed for an overall detailed-comparison.

In my opinion, Huawei is far better than Samsung; however, Samsung has been on top till yet, but Huawei has recently paved its way to high-class category.
